The Publisher’s Note

karen-edge1The Journal of Nursing Jocularity, as you know, has been on an extended hiatus. After the untimely and tragic death of publisher Doug Fletcher, Bob Diskin, Diane Rumsey, Georgia Moss and Debra Woodbury, it just wasn’t the time to keep the magazine going.

It’s been a long ten years, and after a decade, it’s clear that it’s time for The Journal of Nursing Jocularity to come back. Throughout that time, it never ceased to amaze me how many people not only remembered JNJ, but who remembered Doug, remembered me, remembered the community that sprang up around the need to laugh at the challenges we, as nurses, face each and everyday.
